In May, Naalakkersuisut announced that the publication of the reports had been delayed because the translation process proved to be more complicated, challenging, and time-consuming than initially expected. The two reports are of high professional legal quality, and it is important to Naalakkersuisut that the reports be published in Greenlandic, Danish, and English. Therefore, it has also been necessary to prioritize a thorough quality assurance process for the reports in all three languages.
Since May, the reports have also undergone peer review and have subsequently been revised by the experts. This has also required time for translation and quality assurance. “The publication
of the two reports is underway, and we expect to be able to announce a final publication date soon. I would like to emphasize once again that the delay is due to the extensive work involved in translating and quality-assuring the reports, as well as the fact that they have undergone peer review. The publication is a high priority, and given the seriousness of the matter, it is also essential that it be done properly and with respect for the women involved.” said Naalakkersuisoq for Children, Youth, Justice, and Gender Equality Mariane Paviasen Jensen.
Naalakkersuisut expects to be able to announce a final date for the publication of the two reports as soon as possible.
