About the daycare center.
Meeqqerivik Angaju has 64 children and 15 staff members. The immediate supervisor is the director of the Angaju daycare center in the Municipality of Kujalleq.
The Angaju daycare center is open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
We are looking for a deputy director with a degree in early childhood education or a similar background for the Angaju Day Care Center.

Duties and responsibilities:
You must share responsibility for complying with Inatsisartut Act No. 62 of November 20, 2023, on educational and developmental programs for preschool-aged children. You have experience in establishing a framework for managing a daycare center. You must be able to establish open communication with those responsible for the child.
We aim to create a daily routine that strikes a balance between predictability—based on daily rhythms and a sense of time—and unpredictability—based on the children’s influence on the center’s culture. It is important that we work together to build a healthy and nurturing environment for all our children. That is why we place a high priority on the work environment.

Criminal Record and Child Protection Certificate:
This position is subject to the law requiring criminal and child protection background checks. Under this law, employment cannot begin until the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child protection background checks. We must therefore note that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received a child protection certificate from the National Police and a criminal record check from the Police.
The Child Protection Certificate is obtained by the municipality with the individual’s consent, whereas the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and terms of employment:
Salary and employment conditions are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Nunatsinni Perorsaasut Kattuffiat (NPK) or another relevant bargaining organization.
Start date: To be agreed upon with the applicant
The position will include a 3-month probationary period
Housing:
Staff housing may be provided for this position, for which a security deposit, rent, utilities, etc., will be paid in accordance with the rules in effect at any given time regarding rent payments for properties owned by the Government of Greenland and the municipality, etc., in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement of employment, employees entitled to vacant housing will be offered temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc., will be paid in accordance with the above.
Relocation travel and household goods relocation are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
