The partnership has a clear goal: to create the best possible environment for children and young people through strong sports communities. Soccer and futsal serve as important preventive measures that promote well-being, health, and community—in a way that cannot be compared to other recreational activities.
“Strong
clubs are among the best things we can give our children and young people. With this agreement, we are strengthening communities that prevent social isolation and create healthy environments for development,” says Paarnannguaq Mathiassen, Chair of the Committee for Culture, Schools, and Preschools.
Under the agreement, Avannaata Kommunia will provide financial support for club services over a three-year period. In addition, the municipality will fund travel and accommodation for KAK’s instructors in connection with the training of local coaches. The goal is to ensure stable, safe, and qualified environments in the municipality’s clubs.
At KAK, the agreement is seen as an important step in the work to strengthen the day-to-day operations of the clubs and the volunteer efforts throughout the municipality.
“When the clubs are better organized and the coaches are better trained, we create safer and more nurturing environments for children and young people. The partnership with Avannaata Kommunia allows us to work in a more long-term and targeted manner,” says KAK Chairman Kenneth Kleist.
The
agreement runs for three years and covers club services, organizational support, and coach training in the municipality’s soccer and futsal clubs.
