We are seeking an Administrative Head to fill a key position reporting directly to the Chief Executive and supporting the entire Board of Directors. This role encompasses policy support, analysis, legal work, administration, and coordination across various departments, all centered on city governance. The senior executive positions that report directly to the Chief Executive are responsible for overseeing the entire senior leadership team and for close engagement with political levels.Administrative accountability: Direct accountability to the district manager, including the Department of Public Services, the Department of Interpretation and Translation Services, and the Department of Communications.
Primary responsibilities: Support policies, conduct analyses, monitor legal matters, organize meetings, and resolve interdepartmental issues.Language Requirements: The ability to communicate confidently in Greenlandic, Danish, and English, both orally and in writing, will be considered an advantage.

You are responsible for

Provide administrative support to the Town Council, the Finance/INUA Committee, and other committees, including coordinating and distributing meeting agendas, related documents, and proposals for timely decision-making.

Provide secretarial support to the Chief Executive Officer and the entire executive team.

Conduct analyses, document, and prepare materials for decision-making on multi-dimensional issues, including participating in specific analyses across various departments according to the Executive Committee’s priorities.

· Track complaints, inquiries from the Ombudsman, regulatory cases, and other formal inquiries to ensure that deadlines are met and that the relevant agencies provide timely responses.

Responsibilities for managing the city manager and coordinating their work in liaising with various cities, the executive committee, and administrative departments.

Responsibilities of personnel for public services, the Translators’ Office, and the Office of Internal Communication, including staff and the Secretariat.

· Small-scale projects and operational activities, including maintenance-related and multi-faceted projects.

I have experience working with government-supported organizations, especially at the local authority level.

Able to effectively navigate between policy support, day-to-day operations, analysis, and coordination across various functions.

· Develop a deep understanding of the schedules, key procedures, decision-making principles, and quality standards required for administrative operations.

Develop a process and bring everyone together, even if it involves multiple departments or locations.

Experience in managing administrative staff, especially in urban areas.

Has strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex issues into clear proposals.

Must be proficient in three languages, both spoken and written.

Job Description: This position reports to the Municipal Director and is part of the municipal management team. The workplace is located in the town of Asiat, but responsibilities cover the entire municipality. Travel within the municipality may be required as needed. The salary level is at Professional Manager Level 1, in accordance with the administrative agreement between the local government and the municipality.

Criminal Record:

This position is subject to the law on criminal record checks. Work cannot begin until the local authority receives the results of the criminal record check. If an employee is not immediately provided with permanent housing upon assuming their duties, eligible employees will be offered available temporary housing, with the A-tax paid for the benefits received in accordance with existing law.
