The Municipality of Ilulissat is seeking a Social Worker for a residential facility. The position is to be filled as soon as possible, no later than June 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.
The position is for a social worker at the residential facility in Ilulissat, Inneruulat. The department head at the residential facility will be your immediate supervisor.
There are 40 hours per week,
People with schizophrenia and personality disorders live in the residential unit.
Duties and responsibilities:
·Act as the head of residential facilities for people with disabilities in her absence
·Assists the manager in processing all applications for placement in residential facilities for people with disabilities
·Informs the manager about their collaboration with staff at the residential facilities and external case workers
·Keeps the manager informed of the status of all care and activity programs that have been initiated through regular reporting
·Informs the manager of the decision regarding the allocation of work in the residential facilities
·Regularly updates the manager on the status of all operating expenses
·Provides regular updates on all complaints and personnel matters at the residential facilities for people with disabilities and ensures that they are addressed as quickly as possible in collaboration with the relevant staff
Qualifications:
· Social worker, preferably with additional training in psychiatry
·Experience working with people with disabilities or in elder care
·Mentally resilient

Salary and employment terms:
Salary and employment terms will be determined in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement with the relevant trade union authorized to negotiate at any given time.
Staff housing is not available for this position.
Employment is contingent upon the submission of a satisfactory criminal record check and a child protection clearance. These will be obtained by the hiring authority with the employee’s written consent, after which the hiring authority will request them from the National Police.
