Recently, there has been considerable public attention focused on the transportation and supply situation in East Greenland, particularly in Tasiilaq and Kulusuk. In this regard, the Naalakkersuisoq for Housing, Infrastructure, Remote Districts, and Emergency Preparedness has received a number of inquiries, and the issue has also been the subject of public debate.
Naalakkersuisoq for Housing, Infrastructure, Outlying Districts, and Emergency Preparedness, Iddimanngiiu Bianco Jensen, states:
“I fully understand the concern and frustration that many residents of East Greenland are experiencing in the current situation. Stable transportation and supply services are essential for daily life and continued development, and uncertainty about these connections naturally creates a sense of insecurity.
At the same time, I would like to emphasize that Naalakkersuisut is closely monitoring developments and is in ongoing dialogue with relevant parties to help find solutions that can strengthen the security of transportation and supply services in East Greenland.”
