Rules for storing dinghies and vessels at Amiutaasivikoq B-20 during the winter
The Municipality of Avannaata would like to remind you that dinghies and other vessels may be stored from October 1 through June 15. The vessel must be marked with the owner’s name, address, and phone number so that the owner can be contacted if the vessel needs to be moved.
If you have canoes or other items stored in the area, they must be removed from the Amiutaasivikoq area by June 15, 2026, as the area is to be used for other municipal purposes.
As road improvement work resumes, an asphalt paver has been positioned at Amiutaasivikoq. Before work resumes on July 27, 2026, all items in the area must be removed by their owners, as the area will be used for the road project.
Dinghies and other vessels are stored at the owner’s own risk, and the municipality cannot be held liable for any damage or loss.
It is not permitted to leave boxes, containers, sleds, barrels, snowmobiles, or other items—other than dinghies or dinghy equipment—in the area around B-20.
