The Kaassassuk After-School Club in Qaqortoq is looking for an educator, a social worker, or someone with similar training. 

The Municipality of Kujalleq is seeking a qualified, trained educational staff member to work outside of school hours, carrying out targeted educational activities with children and youth that promote their well-being, health, development, and learning.The Prevention, Culture, and Recreation Club collaborates with the school and parents. The Kaassassuk Recreation Club is seeking an employee to start on August 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.

Users range from children just starting 4th grade to young people up to 21 years old, and they are spread out between morning and evening sessions. 

About the Position: The position is located in the Municipality of Kujalleq in Qaqortoq. If you enjoy working with children and youth and like to develop recreational activities, and can plan independently while collaborating on the development of children and youth.

We expect you to:

  • Has a degree in early childhood education, social work, or a similar field.
  • Has experience in customer service 
  • I'm interested in working with children and young people
  • Can communicate with children and adolescents and can collaborate with parents. 
  • A criminal record check is required. 

Child Protection Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring a child protection clearance. Under this law, employment may not begin until the municipality has obtained a child protection clearance. 

The child protection clearance is one of the key requirements in the municipality’s decision regarding who will be hired for the position. 

Compensation

Employment is governed by a collective bargaining agreement.
