Nanortallip Atuarfia is looking for teachers for our youngest special education classes and middle school grades

Nanortallip Atuarfia is seeking two teachers to begin on November 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are looking for a middle school teacher who can teach math, Greenlandic, and Danish, as well as serve as the homeroom teacher for the 4th grade. We would like you to be able to teach some of these subjects, but finding the perfect fit is our top priority.

In addition, we are looking for a teacher for our youngest special education class, where we also need to fill the role of Special Education Advisor. You will work alongside one of our experienced teachers, who also serves as a special education advisor.

About Nanortallip Atuarfia

Nanortallip Atuarfia has 176 students and currently has 21 teachers.

Nanortallip Atuarfia has excellent resources, a strong sense of collaboration, and, not least, is surrounded by fascinating nature that offers great opportunities for field trips. Every year, Nanortallip Atuarfia holds a program on Pilineq (provisions) with its own learning objectives, in which the entire school participates.

You’ll help with teaching using iPads. We use Clevertouch smart screens for instruction. Each grade level has its own areas of focus, which we work on intensively throughout the school year. We meet regularly in subject teams, grade-level teams, and homeroom teams to plan, coordinate, and support one another.

At Nanortallip Atuarfia, we place great value on working together as a team. We are a small group of teachers with a lot of responsibility, and we prioritize collaboration to support our students both academically and socially. Our philosophy is that we learn from our mistakes, that we learn together, and that we always strive to grow. That’s why we’re also proud of our motto: Ilikkanngisakka ilikkassavakka, ilikkakkakka ilatissavakka / What I haven’t learned, I will learn, and what I have learned, I will build upon.
