Would you like to lead one of Greenland’s most exciting non-food departments?

Brugseni Ilulissat is seeking a visible and dedicated Non-Food Department Manager who can drive results through people, inspiring product displays, and strong day-to-day operations. At the same time, you will play a central role in the upcoming expansion of the non-food department to more than 1,000 m²—a unique opportunity to shape the department’s future development.

About the position

As a department manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and development of the non-food department, as well as managing a team of 5–6 employees. You’ll lead the way in day-to-day operations, maintain an overview, and ensure that the department always appears inspiring, sales-ready, and inviting to customers.

You will serve as a key point of contact for employees and play a central role in developing both the department and the team. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to help shape a significantly larger non-food department in close collaboration with the store manager.

Your primary responsibilities

  • Management, motivation, and professional development of department staff
  • Daily planning and coordination of tasks
  • Ordering and Scheduling
  • Stocking shelves and maintaining high store standards
  • Creating inspiring product displays and campaigns
  • Work Scheduling and Staff Development
  • Monitoring the department's sales, key performance indicators, and finances
  • Ensure structure, clarity, and smooth day-to-day operations

We expect you to

  • Has experience in retail—preferably with management responsibilities
  • Is a visible leader who takes the lead and inspires others to follow
  • Can keep a clear perspective in a busy daily routine
  • Is organized, proactive, and results-oriented
  • Motivated by developing employees and creating positive customer experiences
  • Has a knack for product presentation and can create inspiring in-store environments
  • Familiarity with Coop’s IT systems is a plus, but not a requirement
