Naalakkersuisut is working to ensure long-term positive development in the labor supply in order to promote employment across various sectors and increase self-sufficiency in society. It is Naalakkersuisut’s responsibility to ensure that the Greenlandic labor market develops in a positive direction, both in the long term and the short term.
The labor shortage in the country poses a challenge to the labor market, and because of this shortage, the private sector and the public sector are recruiting workers from outside the country. One of Naalakkersuisut’s objectives is to improve the integration of people who move here.

We are seeking a case officer who can handle consultations on applications for residence and work permits, including salary and employment terms; manage the Fast Track agreement for the recruitment of foreign workers; carry out development tasks related to this area, and coordinate the authorities’ control and oversight in this field. The
department handles a wide range of tasks, from preparing policy proposals for Naalakkersuisut and Inatsisartut, to labor market development, analyses, data processing, and ongoing case management in the department’s areas of responsibility, as well as communications work regarding all initiatives.
Your Qualifications and Skills

In addition:
- If you have experience with the F2 case management system or other case management systems, that would be an advantage.
- It is also essential that you be familiar with Greenlandic society and culture

Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Handle responses to public comments on applications for residence and work permits
- Handle case processing and maintain the list of pre-approved companies and the fast-track program
- Streamlining business processes and procedures related to external labor and the Fast Track program
- Development of Workflows Related to the Various Case Areas
- Consulting services for municipalities and businesses regarding the recruitment of foreign workers
- Training Session for Municipal Case Workers on Foreign Labor
- Keeping Track of the Labor Supply
- Coordinate inspections and oversight related to external labor
- Administrative Case Management Tasks

Salary and Terms
of Employment Salary and terms of employment, including the right to travel upon joining or leaving the position and the relocation of household goods, in accordance with the agreement/collective bargaining agreement in effect at the time of employment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant bargaining organization.
An applicant with the appropriate, verifiable qualifications may be hired as a Special Consultant, Chief Consultant, or Senior Advisor in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement
. Housing
No staff housing is provided for this position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment with the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. Staff housing is tied to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of employment.
