The nursing home in Nanortalik has 24 residents and also provides meals for 5–10 residents, depending on their needs.

Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- Ensure compliance with hygiene standards in a commercial kitchen, where self-monitoring plays a major role.
- To lead the staff with openness and understanding.
- To stay within the budget.
- To work closely with the residents.
- To work closely with the director of the nursing home.
- To manage and be responsible for special-diet meals and to understand the needs of older adults for a varied diet.

Housing:
Staff housing may be provided for this position; the deposit, rent, utilities, etc., will be paid in accordance with the rules in effect at any given time regarding rent payments for properties owned by the Government of Greenland and municipalities, etc., in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon starting the position, employees entitled to vacant housing will be offered temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc., are paid in accordance with the above rules.
The start date depends on when staff housing becomes available. Relocation expenses are provided in accordance with current regulations.
Criminal Record Check:
This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record check. Under the law, employment cannot begin until the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record check. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon after that.
Salary and Employment Terms:
Salary and employment conditions are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement for food service managers or kitchen managers.
The position will include a 3-month probationary period.
