Juunarsip Atuarfia is looking for a janitor who can start on August 1, 2026, or as agreed. We are looking for someone with training in a trade, such as a carpenter or plumber.

 Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·Maintenance inside and outside the school.

·Delivery when there are letters to be delivered.

·Pick up and send mail.

·Set up tables and chairs when events are scheduled. 

·Complete any tasks that are assigned. 

·Snow removal. 

·Open the doors in the morning and lock them in the afternoon.

·Vocational training.

· Able to work independently and with dedication.

Criminal Record and Child Protection Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring criminal and child protection background checks. Under the law, employment cannot begin until the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child protection background checks. We must therefore point out that the start date cannot be agreed upon until the municipality has received a child protection certificate from the National Police and a criminal record check from the police.

The Child Protection Certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual concerned, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual concerned from the police.

Salary and Terms of Employment: 

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Naalakkersuisut, the Ministry of Taxation, and Sulinermik Inuussutissarsi-uteqartut Kattuffiat for heating engineers, janitors, and building superintendents.

Housing is not provided with this position.
