We’re looking for someone who

  • Is a trained clinical dental technician.
  • Alternatively, you are a trained dental laboratory technician with an interest in or experience with clinical work.
  • Works independently, in an organized manner, and with a focus on quality.
  • Has experience with or an interest in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of prosthetics.
  • Has knowledge of modern dental materials and techniques.
  • Has strong collaboration skills and thrives in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Is responsible, flexible, and service-oriented, with good teamwork skills.
  • You thrive on taking on independent responsibility and have the ability to think in a solution-oriented way. You take a creative approach to your tasks and are able to adapt to different working conditions and local circumstances.

Your job responsibilities will include, among other things:

Clinical Tasks

  • Examination, assessment, and treatment of denture patients within the applicable scope of practice.
  • Impression taking, recording of jaw relationships, and color selection.
  • Fitting, adjustment, and placement of full and partial dentures.
  • Inspection, adjustment, and maintenance of dentures.
  • Instructing patients on the use and care of dentures.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare providers on patient care plans.

Dental Laboratory Fabrication

  • Fabrication of full and partial dentures.
  • Repair, relining, and maintenance of dentures.
  • Manufacturing of bite splints and custom spoons.
  • Production of study, working, and presentation models.
  • Other dental laboratory work within the scope of expertise.

Laboratory Work

  • Receipt and verification of impressions and work instructions.
  • Casting, machining, and finishing of models.
  • Working with acrylic, plastic, and other dental materials.
  • Quality assurance of the completed work.
  • Maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Professional Advice and Collaboration

  • Participation in the testing and evaluation of dental laboratory work.
  • Professional consultation and advice for colleagues on dental technology solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and quality assurance of the dental laboratory services offered by Landstandplejen.
  • You are responsible for managing the dental technology inventory, as well as ordering and maintaining relevant materials and supplies.

Housing

Housing is allocated in accordance with the rules of the Greenlandic Health Service in effect at any given time.

Salary and Employment

Wages and terms of employment, including the right to travel upon hiring and upon termination and to relocation of household goods, in accordance with the agreement or collective bargaining agreement in effect at the time of employment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant bargaining organization.
