We are looking for a healthcare assistant who can start in Narsaq on December 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.

Narsaq is located in South Greenland and has three surrounding settlements. The population is approximately 1,500, including the two surrounding settlements.

The health center’s primary responsibilities involve providing medical care to residents of the city and its surrounding areas. However, it also has an inpatient ward with 13 beds serving a diverse patient population.

As a healthcare assistant, you will have a very varied role, working with both outpatient and emergency room patients as well as hospitalized patients, in collaboration with the rest of the staff.

In addition to one doctor, the Health Center has a ward nurse, 3 nurses, 1 healthcare assistant, 5 healthcare aides, 4 unskilled workers, and 2 orderlies. 

Desired qualifications:

  • Has experience working in an emergency room and is aware of their own area of expertise
  • Are you willing to be trained in, for example, drawing blood or taking X-rays? 
  • At least a couple of years of experience

Housing is assigned in accordance with the rules of the Greenlandic Health Service in effect at any given time.

Salary and Employment

Wages and terms of employment, including the right to travel upon hiring and upon termination and to relocation of household goods, in accordance with the agreement or collective bargaining agreement in effect at the time of employment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant bargaining organization.
