Would you like to lead the local administration in Nanortalik and help create a well-functioning, responsive, and cohesive municipality?

The Municipality of Kujalleq is seeking a dedicated and proactive chief administrative officer for Nanortalik. You will hold a key leadership role with responsibility for ensuring efficient local administration, high-quality citizen services, and strong collaboration across the municipality’s departments.

As head of administration, you will serve as a key link between residents, employees, management, and the political leadership. You must maintain a visible presence within the organization and in the local community, while also being able to translate the municipality’s goals and decisions into action at the local level.

We are therefore looking for a leader who can provide a clear overview, set the direction, and inspire people to work together.

An important part of your work will be to foster coordination among the municipality’s various departments while ensuring that decisions are made as close to the residents as possible, within the applicable frameworks.

Your day-to-day work will be varied. You’ll be involved in management, finance, political support, coordination, development, and specific issues that require you to make decisions and maintain a broad perspective.

You will also be responsible for the local citizen services function, including budgetary responsibility, as well as managerial responsibility for relevant staff in the administration.

You will also contribute to the preparation of case presentations and recommendations, as well as the coordination and practical planning of political activities and events in Nanortalik and the surrounding villages.

As an administrative director, it is important that you stay on top of current developments. You must take an interest in what is happening among residents, employees, and local communities, and be able to apply this knowledge constructively to the municipality’s work.

Who are you?

We expect you to have management experience and, ideally, relevant management training. You don’t necessarily need to be able to check off every task from your very first day on the job. The most important thing is that you can take responsibility, build trust, and set the direction.
