After more than three years as head of the Department of Education, Culture, Sports, and the Church, Nuka Kleemann is stepping down from her position today to pursue new challenges.
Nuka Kleemann took office as department head in June 2023 and has since led the department’s work in the areas of education, culture, sports, and the church.
Naalakkersuisoq Nivi Olsen has granted Nuka Kleemann’s request to seek new challenges. Nuka Kleemann will assume the position of Director of Campus Kujalleq on November 1, 2026.
Naalakkersuisoq for Education, Culture, Sports, and the Church, Nivi Olsen, thanks him for his efforts:
“I would like to thank Nuka Kleemann for his great dedication and for the extensive and valuable work he has done as department head. He has contributed a high level of expertise, experience, and a strong commitment to the development of our areas of responsibility. I am pleased that he will continue his work within the Naalakkersuisoq’s portfolio, and I wish him the best of luck in his new position as director of Campus Kujalleq,” says Naalakkersuisoq Nivi Olsen.
Deputy Director Karl Davidsen will serve as acting head of department until a new head of department is appointed.
