The Department of Fisheries, Hunting, Agriculture, and Self-Sufficiency hereby announces that salmon fishing will open in the following management areas:
• On September 1, the Northwest Management Area (north of 64°14’N)
will open• On August 1, the Nuuk–Paamiut Management Area (south of 64°14’N)
will open• On August 1, the Southwest Management Area (south of 60°45’N)
will open• On August 1, the Kapisillit Management Area will open
• On August 15, the East Greenland Management Area (east of 44°00’W) will open
You can apply for a salmon fishing license at your local municipality or through sullisivik.gl. You must have a license for the Kapisillit management area to fish in the Kapisillit River.
