32 young people from Narsaq, Nanortalik, and Qaqortoq became Playmakers during the Playmaker Camp in Qaqortoq.
Playmaker Camp is part of the collaboration between the Municipality of Kujalleq and the Greenland Sports Federation through the GAME Greenland project. The goal is to train young people to plan and carry out sports and physical activity programs for children and youth in their own towns.
Playmaker Camp was held in Qaqortoq in late June, with 32 young people aged 14 to 25 from Narsaq, Nanortalik, and Qaqortoq participating.
– Under the theme “Being a Role Model,” the young people took part in a fun and engaging camp. The program included soccer, basketball, dance, Girl Zone, as well as group activities and discussions on topics relevant to young people, says Bolethe Stenskov, sports and club consultant for the Municipality of Kujalleq.
The camp concluded with the new Playmakers making plans for the activities they will carry out in their hometowns this fall and how they will organize them.
The Playmaker Camp in Qaqortoq was held on June 27 and 28.
