At the graduation ceremony for the students at Campus Kujalleq, City Council Member Maaliaaraq Nielsen gave a speech on behalf of the mayor and also presented a scholarship.
After three years of high school, the 25 graduates received their diplomas on Monday, June 22, when they were also honored with speeches and congratulations.
– We need well-educated citizens to contribute to our society, and that is why I am very optimistic about your future. I am grateful that you are already helping to lead the way for others. The diploma you receive today is not just a piece of paper—it is a key to many opportunities for further education. As you take your next steps, I hope you will help shape Greenland’s future. Congratulations, and enjoy your celebration, said Maaliaaraq Nielsen, among other things, in her congratulatory remarks on behalf of the mayor.
The Municipality of Kujalleq’s honorary scholarship of 3,000 kroner was also awarded to a student who has particularly distinguished himself or herself among the teachers.
The recipient of the scholarship excels academically and possesses strong analytical skills. In addition to her studies, she has volunteered in sports activities and social events at her high school. At the same time, she has been a great support to her fellow students and has contributed to a positive learning environment.
The scholarship was awarded to Klara Matilde Kristoffersen.
