Once again this year, the spring cleaning campaign brought together residents and businesses in Ilulissat around a common goal: keeping the town clean.
On Saturday, June 6, a Saligaatsoq cleanup was held in Ilulissat, where many residents and local businesses turned out to lend a hand. Together, they made a significant effort to make Ilulissat cleaner.

To thank the above-mentioned businesses for their help and for going the extra mile for Saligaatsoq 2026, Avannaata Municipality is offering free waste drop-off for waste sorted according to the minimum waste sorting requirements this week until Friday at 4:00 p.m.
Please remember to have the waste weighed and recorded at the incineration plant—even if those of you who contributed do not receive a bill. That way, we can still keep track of the quantities of each type of waste we receive.
