Work is continuing at the hydroelectric power plant in Utoqqarmiut Kangerluarsunnguat (Buksefjorden) this construction season, with GNC currently building an access road from the port facility to the power plant expansion site. This was reported by Nukissiorfiit.
For safety reasons, the entire area—including the harbor and marked construction sites—is closed to the public during the construction season. This applies to pedestrians, hunters, boaters, and other users of the area.
There is heavy traffic in the area, so everyone is urged to obey warnings, follow signs, and respect access restrictions.
Buksefjorden is an important recreational and hunting area, and we ask for your understanding regarding these temporary restrictions. They are necessary to ensure that the construction work can be carried out safely and efficiently.
According to Nukissiorfiit, the new and expanded hydroelectric power plant will be a key component in the future supply of green energy to Nuuk.
