Residents and employees continue to face challenges due to a major IT outage in the Municipality of Sermersooq. Efforts to resolve the issue are ongoing.

Child benefits and various other payments scheduled for June 1 are expected to be delayed. This is due to the IT outage.

Authorities are continuing to work to resolve a major IT outage at Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq. The outage continues to affect several aspects of the municipality’s digital services, and as a result, processing times are expected to be longer than usual.

The municipality remains open during its regular business hours. Therefore, residents can still receive assistance in person. In addition, procedures have been put in place that do not require the use of digital systems, so that resident services can continue to the extent possible.

The municipality is working closely with the relevant authorities to restore the IT systems to normal operation as quickly as possible.
