The Municipal Council of Kujalleq has decided to appeal the tax case in question, in which the municipality was previously found guilty of gross negligence in connection with the failure to pay A-tax.
The decision was made on Monday, May 11, at a special meeting of the municipal council in Qaqortoq. The matter was discussed behind closed doors, but the minutes indicate that the municipal council decided to appeal the case.
According to the ruling, the municipality had failed to pay A-tax on time for ten months during 2023 and 2024 and had failed to make any payments at all for three months. The court found that the municipality had acted with gross negligence.
