On Friday, May 8, the new graduates received their certificates after nearly two years of training, which was divided into five modules. The mayor believes this is a major step forward for the Municipality of Kujalleq.
– I am very pleased that we now have more family group conference facilitators in the municipality. This is a major step forward, and I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all the certified facilitators. The method they can now use is very important for the municipality because family group conferencing can help bring about positive changes before problems become too big. That is why I hope and believe that the newly trained practitioners will make a significant contribution,” says Malene Vahl Rasmussen.
Family group conferencing is an approach that can be offered when challenges arise in a child’s development or within the family. With the participation of family members and other significant people in the child’s life, the goal is to improve the well-being and living conditions of both the child and the family.
The nearly two-year training program was conducted by the National Board of Social Services.
Five of the 18 certified individuals are not in the photo because they were at work.
