On March 3, 2026, 60° North Greenland Aps submitted an application for land allocation for the construction of a warehouse
spanning 3 floors.
The building includes a warehouse, an office, a meeting room, a cafeteria, and laboratory facilities; the proposed project is located in Municipal Plan Addendum No. 7 for a commercial zone north of Qummut, Qaqortoq.
The application does not comply with the following provision in Municipal Plan Addendum No. 7 for an area zoned for commercial use north of Qummut, Qaqortoq:
– Section 5(1): “New buildings may be constructed with up to two stories.” The proposed building has three stories.
– Section 16(1): “A maximum height of 8 meters above existing ground level is established.” The proposed structure has a height of
13.1 meters above ground level.
