The Department of Facilities and Environment has received a land use application for the installation of a fixed observation telescope for public use.
The telescope is intended for outdoor use and, as a stationary installation, will allow residents and visitors to observe nature and distant views. It is weather-resistant and suitable for year-round use and will be mounted on a fixed metal stand with a total height of approximately 1.54 meters and a weight of approximately 48 kg.
The area is covered by subarea 40D8 – Open space around Ittoqqortoormiit.
If you have any comments or objections regarding the application, please submit them to the Department of Public Works and the Environment by June 3, 2026.
