At the Sisimiut Regional Hospital, in the inpatient ward, there is one open position for a healthcare assistant, to be filled as of November 15, 2026, as a permanent employee.

The position is primarily in the inpatient ward, which has capacity for 19 hospitalized patients and includes various professional groups as colleagues on the care team. Here, we admit patients ranging from infants to the elderly.

The job also includes a teaching/educational role, as the regional hospital has nursing students and healthcare assistant trainees throughout the year.

You will be working every third weekend. In addition, you should expect to assist other departments as needed and to be on call from home on weekdays and weekends on occasion.

You will receive an introduction to day-to-day work in the outpatient clinic and emergency room, as you will participate in the triage of patients during emergency visits while on duty.

Sisimiut Regional Hospital has approximately 85 employees and 19 beds and functions as a combination of a medical practice and an emergency room with the capacity for hospitalizations. We also have a well-functioning primary care department.

Housing is allocated in accordance with the rules of the Greenlandic Health Service in effect at any given time.
