The Municipality of Qeqertalik, Kangaatsiaq, and the Qupannaat Preschool are seeking one nutrition assistant to start on July 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.

General information for the preschool / daycare center:

This is a full-time position.

There is room for 44 children 

The administration of the daycare centers falls under the jurisdiction of INUIT.

Applicant’s qualifications:

·Certified nutrition assistant.

·Experience in planning and preparing healthy and varied meals. 

·Be able to handle stressful situations, be flexible, cooperative, approachable, and reliable.

·Good physical and mental health, and an open and cheerful disposition.

·Prepares healthy, nutrient-rich meals. 

·Work based on goals and action plans in daycare settings. 

Salary and employment terms:

·Salary and employment terms will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

·Employment is contingent upon the submission of a satisfactory criminal record check and a child protection clearance, which the employer will obtain from the National Police Agency following the consent of the applicant who is recommended for hire.

Criminal record and child protection clearance:

This position is subject to the law requiring criminal and child protection background checks. Under the law, employment cannot begin until the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child protection background checks. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received a child protection certificate from the National Police and a criminal record check from the Police.

The Child Protection Certificate is obtained by the municipality with the individual’s consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
