Avannaata Municipality is seeking teachers to fill positions at Atuarfik Jørgen Brønlund in Ilulissat, effective September 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.
Atuarfik Jørgen Brønlund is one of the town’s two schools, with approximately 350 students and 55 staff members.
The teacher’s immediate supervisor will be the school principal.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Teach all subjects in the special education department

Salary and Employment:
Employment will be based on an agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Ilinniartitsisut Meeqqat Atuarfiannersut Kattuffiat (IMAK). Applicants who are currently civil servants will retain the right to that form of employment.
No housing will be provided
Salary and employment terms are governed by the agreements in effect at the time of hire between the Government of Greenland and Ilinniartitsisut Meeqqat Atuarfiannersut Kattuffiat (IMAK).
Employment is contingent upon the submission of a satisfactory criminal record check and a child protection clearance, which the employer will obtain from the National Police Agency with the consent of the applicant who is recommended for hire.
