Avannaata Municipality, Atuarfik Edvard Kruse, Uummannaq, has a teaching position available to be filled as of September 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.
We are looking for a teacher for the school’s upper grades. We are specifically looking for a teacher who can teach physics, mathematics, and other subjects.
And someone who can take on various other roles as well.
Employment will be based on an agreement between the Government of Greenland and Ilinniartitsisut Meeqqat Atuarfianneersut Kattuffiat (IMAK). Applicants who currently hold a civil service position in Greenland will retain the right to this form of employment.
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and household goods relocation, are governed by the agreements in effect at the time of employment between the Government of Greenland and Ilinniartitsisut Meeqqat Atuarfianneersut Kattuffiat (IMAK).
Employment may also be offered under special fixed-term conditions in accordance with an agreement between the Greenland Self-Government and IMAK, under which a severance payment of 18,000 DKK is provided as an annual base amount as of April 1, 1991, 19,818.29 DKK as of April 1, 2012, and one annual vacation trip for the employee and their family.
Staff housing may be made available.
