The Municipality of Kujalleq is seeking teachers at Tasersuup Atuarfia in Qaqortoq to begin employment on September 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed. 

Qaqortoq is the largest city in South Greenland, with over 3,000 residents. Tasersuup Atuarfia has 420 students. There are 33 classes, including special education classes such as Tungujortuaraq. 
There are a total of 46 skilled and experienced teachers, including some newer administrators. The school is divided into four grade levels, and there are teaching assistants who work closely with village teachers and home educators.

In addition, the school operates an after-school program and a student dormitory.

Salary and Terms of Employment
Employment is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Naalakkersuisut and the Greenland Teachers’ Union (IMAK), the Greenland Primary School Teachers’ Union dated May 25, 2021, and the framework agreement between Naalakkersuisut and IMAK dated October 28, 1998

Relocation Travel:
In connection with employment, the employee and their family are reimbursed for travel expenses, and after three years, their travel expenses are reimbursed if the teacher leaves the job; furthermore, according to the rules, a relocation allowance is provided. 

Staff
Housing: Housing may be provided, for which rent and a security deposit are paid in accordance with applicable rules. 

Child Protection Certificate:
These positions are subject to the law requiring the submission of a child protection certificate. Under the law, employment may not begin until the municipality has obtained a child protection certificate.
The child protection certificate is one of the key requirements in the municipality’s decision regarding who will be hired for the position.
