The Meeqqerivik Ikinnguteeqqat daycare center in the Municipality of Uummannaq Avannaata is seeking 3 social workers to begin employment as soon as possible on September 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.
The immediate supervisor of the social workers is the director of the daycare center at Meeqqerivik Ikinnguteeqqat
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work in accordance with the institution’s rules and objectives.
• To care for the children in a safe and responsible manner.
• Collaboration between different teams and departments.
• Collaborate with parents.
• Handling tasks as they arise and prioritizing work assignments.

Salary and Terms of Employment:
Salary and terms of employment are governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Naalakkersuisut and SIK in effect at the time of hire.
Housing is not provided for this position.
Employment is contingent upon the submission of a satisfactory child protection clearance and a criminal background check; the employer will obtain these from the National Police after receiving the applicant’s consent.
