Royal Greenland A/S is seeking a Technical Manager.
An exciting management challenge—in Sisimiut.
As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing 15 employees in the technical department. Together, you will ensure that the technical systems, buildings, and vehicles in Sisimiut and in the villages of Sarfannguaq and Itilleq are operated optimally and safely at all times.
You will report to the Plant Manager in Sisimiut and will be part of the plant’s management team.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Management of 15 employees in the technical department
- Operational planning, coordination, and maintenance and operation of the factory's machinery and equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of all technical systems at the factories in Sisimiut, Sarfannguaq, and Itilleq.
- Ensure that factories and facilities comply with regulatory requirements
- Help document data in HACCP
- Participate in company-wide projects in close collaboration with the group’s project managers
- Responsible for investment and renovation projects—including managing and monitoring operating and maintenance costs
- Effective monitoring of budget compliance
Your profile:
- You are a certified marine engineer, electrician, or similar
- You have solid technical experience in the food industry, production, and management
- Experience working with KPIs, including defining goals and ensuring their implementation and follow-up
- You are very independent
- As a leader, you are competent and a team player
- You work in an analytical and structured manner and have a good overview
- You make your decisions based on facts and experience
- You are ambitious both personally and on behalf of the company
- It is desirable that you are proficient in Greenlandic and Danish, and it is also essential that you are fluent in English
- You have extensive experience with refrigeration systems and HVAC systems
