We are looking for teachers—effective October 1, 2026—who wish to:
·Engage in a committed collaboration to enhance students’ skills in various subjects.
·If the applicant also has specific skills in IT and the use of iPads in the classroom, these skills will also be useful.
·We are looking for teachers who can teach math, physical geography, physics/chemistry, and Danish.
·If, in addition to their teaching degree, the applicant also has skills or other training in the social services field, those will also be highly relevant to us.
We can offer the following locally:
•Good school facilities / well-maintained school (built in 2009).
•Excellent facilities, where iPads are becoming an increasingly integral part of everyday life.
•A community with many schoolchildren: Most grade levels have their own class. Grades 1–10.

•The school has housing available; you don’t have to live off-campus.
•Nighttime trash collection is paid for by the municipality; daytime trash collection is your responsibility.
•Water is provided by the school.
•Rent of approximately 1,500 DKK.
•Great opportunities for outdoor activities, hunting, and fishing. The school has a log cabin that’s about a 3- to 4-hour walk away; it’s used for school camps.
• Exercise opportunities in the school’s multipurpose hall and many recreational activities for children, teens, and adults.
Kullorsuaq is ideally situated in scenic surroundings, with the National Park right next door.
Kullorsuup Atuarfissua will have approximately 90 students and about 15 teachers in the coming school year, and since 2009 (with the exception of two years), we have administered the elementary school graduation exams.
Salary and Employment Terms
Employment is based on an agreement between the Greenland Self-Government and IMAK. Applicants who are currently civil servants in Greenland will retain the right to this form of employment.Housing will be provided, for which payment will be made in accordance with the rules in effect at any given time. Employment on special fixed-term terms may be offered, subject to agreement.
Among other things, this includes: One free annual vacation trip for the household and a severance payment of approximately 19,000 DKK per year of service.
Salary and employment terms, including the right to relocation travel and household goods relocation, are determined in accordance with the terms in effect at the time of hire
the provision of the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and Ilinniartitsisut MeeqqatAtuarfiannersut Kattuffiat, IMAK.
