The Municipality of Qeqertalik Qeqertarsuaq is seeking 1 teacher to work at Qeqertarsuup Atuarfia.
The position will begin on September 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.
Qeqertarsuup Atuarfia is a multi-level school with approximately 116 students in grades 1–10 and 2 special education classes, with a total teaching staff of 17.
The school is looking for a teacher in:
Elementary School: Science.
Middle School: Greenlandic and Personal Development.
Upper Elementary Level: Social Studies, Biology, Geography, Religion and Philosophy, and Personal Development.
Changes may be made as needed.

Salary and Employment Terms
Salary and terms of employment are governed by the applicable employment agreement (www.imak.gl), including the right to free travel and relocation of household goods. Applicants who are currently civil servants will retain the right to this form of employment.
Housing
Staff housing may be provided for this position, for which a security deposit, rent, utilities, etc., will be paid in accordance with the rules in effect at any given time regarding rent payments for properties owned by the Government of Greenland and municipalities, etc., in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon starting the position, the employee will be offered temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc., will be paid in accordance with the above.
Criminal Record and Child Protection Certificate:
This position is subject to the law requiring criminal and child protection background checks. Under this law, employment cannot begin until the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child protection background checks. We must therefore point out that the start date cannot be agreed upon until the municipality has received the child protection clearance from the National Police and the criminal record check from the police.
The child protection record is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual concerned, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual concerned from the police.
