The Municipality of Qeqertalik Qasigiannguit Qeersaat Illuat, is currently accepting applications for the position of Deputy Manager for Qeqertalik Qasigiannguit Qeersaat Illuat. The position will commence on June 1, 2026, or as agreed upon.
This position requires 40 hours of work per week. There are 20 residents in the nursing home and 32 staff members, including care staff, activity staff, support staff, and administrative staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily operations with the manager
- Budget and Financial Management
- Management Oversight
- Training and Guidance for Care Personnel
- Employee Supervision
- To ensure that an action plan for residents has been prepared.
- To ensure that residents receive care and support.
- To ensure that residents adhere to their treatment plans.
- Shift Schedule/Shift Timetable
- Assessment of Care Burden in Collaboration with Caregivers
- Participation on admissions committees
- Student Coordinator
- Special Assignment
- Co-administrator
- Direct Line Manager for Support Staff (Supervisor, Kitchen, Cleaning/Laundry)
- Call Schedule
Qualifications:
- Health Studies
- Training or experience related to theoretical management
- Experience working with the elderly or disabled
- Good teamwork skills
Employment Conditions and Compensation:
Employment conditions and compensation shall be in accordance with the collective agreement in effect at the time with the labor union authorized to negotiate.

The appointment is subject to satisfactory criminal background checks and child protection clearance, which must be verified by the appointing authority with the written consent of the employee. Subsequently, the appointing authority will request these documents from the Royal Thai Police.
Criminal History:
This position is subject to the law regarding criminal background checks. Employment cannot commence until the local authority has received the results of the criminal background check. Therefore, we must clarify that the start date cannot be agreed upon until the local authority has received the results of the criminal background check from the police.
