Royal Greenland is seeking a Project Manager to lead projects to success and ensure that our electrical system installations comply with current regulations. This position is based in Greenland and can be stationed at our headquarters in Nuuk or at one of our facilities, which may be located in Sisimiut, Manituut, or Ilulissat.

Your Role

You will play a key role in organizing our project. In this role, you will be responsible for project management and ensuring that Royal Greenland maintains its electrical certification. This is a critical area for our operations and safety.

You will work closely with the technical manager, factory manager, department colleagues, and external partners. While the projects cover a wide range of areas, they all require organization, a strategic perspective, and the ability to successfully execute tasks.

What are you going to do?

Your daily work will be diverse, hands-on, and closely connected to the business. You will serve as an intermediary between the engineering, operations, and supplier teams, and you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed correctly, safely, and on schedule.

Project Management and Progress

  • Ensure that the project is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Work with the technical manager in Greenland to ensure that the installation complies with laws and regulations.
  • Participate in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor standards, quality, and progress.

Electrical and Legal Certification

  • Manage Royal Greenland's electricity licenses.
  • Ensure that the installation complies with current laws.
  • Operate within the framework of electrical authorization orders.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Collaboration with the Quality Department, Safety Department, and other departments
  • Involve the factory manager and technical manager in the project.
  • Contribute to creating a professional and strong working environment within the project team.

Power

  • Subcontractors should participate in consultations with the department manager.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and standards in the electrical sector.

You have a technical background and experience working on projects. You thrive when given responsibility, building structures, and driving progress.

In addition, we would like you to:

  • A fully qualified marine engineer or electrician.
  • The electric vehicle has passed the certification test.
  • Able to work in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency in the Greenlandic language is highly regarded, and strong Danish language skills are also considered a definite advantage. English is required.
  • Work independently and thrive under responsibility.
  • Ability to collaborate with others across disciplines
  • Possesses a keen eye for both details and the big picture.
