Nutrition Assistant at the Ajarsivasik Nursing Home in Qaqortoq.

The “Ajarsivasik” nursing home in Qaqortoq is seeking 1 Nutrition Assistant; the position is available for hire on September 1, 2026, or as agreed.

Ajarsivasik is administratively part of the Social Services Department. The Ajarsivasik nursing home has two care units and one dementia unit.

In addition to the vacant position mentioned above, the nursing home has the following staff:

nurses, healthcare assistants, healthcare aides, health and social care aides, kitchen staff, janitor, driver, laundry assistants, and aides.

The “Ajarsivasik” kitchen was built in 2002 and recently renovated in 2023. The kitchen prepares meals for 48 residents.

And home-delivered to 10 residents.

We would like:

  • A stable and cooperative staff who are interested in preparing healthy meals for our residents and making a difference. 
  • A colleague who is reliable and eager to prepare a wide variety of dishes—a healthy and varied diet.

We offer diabetic meals, allergy-friendly meals, high-energy meals, and much more, so our colleague should have experience with these types of diets.

We’re a small team in the kitchen with great chemistry and plenty of drive to tackle all the challenges that come our way.

Wages and employment terms are governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Naalakkersuisut, the Ministry of Finance, and Sulinermik Inuussutissarsiuteqartut Kattuffiat for those with training in the food industry.

Housing may be made available, for which a security deposit or rent is paid in accordance with applicable rules.
