The Avannaata Municipality retirement home in Upernavik is seeking a dietary assistant to start on July 1, 2026.
The nutrition assistant’s immediate supervisor is the kitchen manager at the nursing home.
Job duties and responsibilities
Work in accordance with the nursing home’s rules and objectives.
Caring for the elderly in a considerate and responsible manner
Collaboration between different teams and departments
Collaboration with the residents’ families and the staff at the nursing home
Handling day-to-day tasks and prioritizing work assignments.

Salary and Employment Conditions
Salary and terms of employment are governed by the collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and SIK in effect at the time of hire
Housing is not provided for this position
Employment is contingent upon the submission of a satisfactory child protection clearance and a criminal record check; these will be obtained by the employer from the National Police Agency with the applicant’s consent.
