The nursing home in Narsaq is looking for a healthcare aide
The Luuvikasik Nursing Home is seeking a healthcare assistant to begin employment on October 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.
The nursing home has room for 30 residents and includes a dementia unit and a nursing unit. Your colleagues will include healthcare aides, healthcare assistants, social and healthcare aides, nutrition assistants, nutrition aides, and unskilled staff.
Duties of a healthcare assistant:
- Motivated to provide care and support for the elderly, medication administration
- Contribute to innovation and development
- Participate in the training of assistants
- May be accompanied by an intern
- Proactive in the development and maintenance of professional skills
- The position involves on-call duties
Qualifications and Requirements
- Trained as a healthcare assistant
- Proactive and able to involve colleagues
- Bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish (though not required)
- Clean criminal record
Salary and employment conditions are governed by the agreements in effect at any given time between the Greenlandic Home Rule Government and the relevant organization authorized to negotiate.
For those coming from outside the area, housing may be provided, for which payment is made in accordance with applicable rules; moving expenses are also covered in accordance with applicable rules.
