As a master butcher, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department and will become an integral part of the store’s management team. You will ensure high quality, efficient operations, and a welcoming environment where both customers and employees thrive.
About the store
Brugseni Natalie is a new and modern supermarket with plenty of exciting products and a wide selection. The store reopened after a major renovation in the summer of 2025. Brugseni Natalie employs 45 people, five of whom work in the Butcher & Deli department.
The store has a lively atmosphere and plays an important role in the Nuussuaq neighborhood. Located near the school, it is visited daily by local artisans who stop by to buy their lunch at this delightful deli.
About the job
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the butchery department and will ensure that the department meets Brugseni’s high standards for quality, service, and efficiency.
You’ll have the chance to make your mark on the department.
You will perform traditional butchery tasks and have the opportunity to work with local ingredients and specialties offered by Det Grønlandske Køkken.
Your role will be to create a positive work environment where employees can grow, stay motivated, and work toward shared goals.
Your main responsibilities
- Day-to-day operations of the slaughterhouse
- Cutting and production
- Customer service and advice.
- Human Resources Management and Employee Development
- Inventory Management and Ordering
- Administrative responsibility for the department
- Preparing merchandise for sale and ensuring an inspiring product display
- Self-monitoring and quality assurance
- Active participation in the store's management team
Your profile
We imagine that you:
- Is a trained butcher
- Has experience in retail or food production
- Preferably has management experience
- Is service-oriented and quality-conscious
- Has strong business acumen
- Is good at planning and delegating
- Works in a structured manner and sees tasks through to completion
