In Greenland’s northernmost town, at the village school with 1–7 students in grades 1–7, the position is available starting August 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed. 

Evap Atuarfia (Eva’s School), Siorapaluk, Avannaata Municipality, is seeking 1 teacher.

Housing:
Teacher housing is provided, for which payment is made according to current regulations. This includes a security deposit, rent, utilities, etc.
There are only two cargo ships that come to the city (in July and September), so we’ll need to agree on which one you’ll arrive on.

Salary and Employment Conditions:
Employment will be based on special fixed-term terms in accordance with an agreement between the Government of Greenland and Ilinniartitsisut Meeqqat Atuarfianeersut Kattuffiat (IMAK). Applicants who currently hold civil service positions in Greenland will retain the right to this form of employment. 
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and household goods relocation, will be in accordance with the agreement between the Government of Greenland and IMAK in effect at the time of appointment.

The appointment will include a 3-month probationary period.

Criminal Record Check
This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record check. Under the law, employment may not begin until the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record check from the police.

Child Protection Certificate
This position is subject to the law requiring the submission of a child protection certificate. We must therefore inform you that the start date cannot be agreed upon until the municipality has received a satisfactory child protection certificate from the National Police.
