Avannaata Kommuniata Qatserisartui in Uummannaq is seeking a service- and team-oriented materials handler to begin employment on December 1 or as otherwise agreed.
Job Responsibilities:
·The equipment manager’s main duties will include, among other things, the repair, maintenance, and cleaning of the fire department’s equipment, vehicles, and garage
·Other ad hoc and practical tasks
Skills and Qualifications:
·We are looking for a materials handler with firefighter training, preferably with a background in the trades
·A driver’s license for large vehicles is required; however, this is not a prerequisite, as you can obtain a license for vehicles weighing over 3,500 kg after being hired.
·Stable, independent, able to handle difficult and challenging work
·Bilingual (Greenlandic/Danish) is preferred, but not required.

Employment is contingent upon the presentation of a criminal record check acceptable for the position.
Salary and Terms of Employment:
Salary and terms of employment are governed by the collective bargaining agreement in effect at the time of hire between Naalakkersuisut and the authorized bargaining organization.
