The “Angaju” Daycare Center is looking for 2 Early Childhood Educators
We are looking for two certified early childhood educators at the “Angaju” daycare center. If you have a degree in early childhood education or are a certified social worker and want to try something different, and are eager to take on new challenges, then you’re exactly the person we need. The new early childhood educator can start on August 1, 2026, or by mutual agreement.
The “Angaju” daycare center has a facility with 64 spots for children ages 3–6. There are a total of 15 staff members. The director is included in that number.
There are four daycare centers in Qaqortoq. The directors work well together. They also make a point of helping one another when needed.
Qaqortoq is a peaceful, educational, and beautiful city. Various activities are held throughout the year.
If you have a background in early childhood education at “Angaju,” you will have the following responsibilities:
- Someone who will make sure the house rules are followed
- Initiator of an initiative pursuant to the Inatsisartut Act
- Fully attentive when it comes to working with parents
- A constant commitment to oversight and new initiatives in the field of education
- Willingness to collaborate; physically and mentally resilient
- Someone who can set boundaries
- Someone who can provide the means to solve problems
- Someone who can handle a lot of pressure in tough situations
- Someone with management experience
- Someone who loves children and is devoted
Child Protection Certificate:
This position is subject to the law requiring a child protection clearance. Under the law, employment may not begin until the municipality has obtained a child protection clearance.
The child protection clearance will be part of the municipality’s assessment of who should be hired for the position.
Staff housing is provided, for which rent and other fees are paid in accordance with applicable rules.
The appointment is made in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Perorsaasut Kattuffiat.
