The position of department head is available as of October 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.
The nursing home has room for 48 residents, divided among 3 units.
The dementia unit has room for 11 residents and operates as a separate unit.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the department head for the staff in the dementia unit
- Basic Care and Direct Assistance
- Contribute to development
- Contributes to activities for residents
- Serve as a mentor
- Work to ensure that residents feel safe and lead meaningful lives
- Ensuring Quality Care
- Shared responsibility for professional standards is at play in all situations
- Medication Dosage
- For staff who check on residents when they are sick
- Proactive in developing and maintaining one's own professional expertise
- The position involves on-call duties, including being on call every 3–4 weekends
- You may be responsible for assisting the doctor with rounds
- Measures to prevent the use of force are being taken.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Trained as a healthcare assistant or similar
- Has management experience
- Has experience working with people with dementia.
- Proactive and able to involve colleagues.
- Bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish (not required)
- Friendly toward all residents as well as coworkers
- Clean criminal record
- It is stable, sturdy, and spacious.
- Has a good understanding of the Use of Force Act.
Salary and Employment Conditions
Salary and employment conditions are governed by the agreements in effect at any given time between the Greenland Home Rule Government and the relevant organization authorized to negotiate.
Housing may be provided, for which payment is made in accordance with applicable regulations.
Please note that there is a long waiting period for staff housing; the employment contract will take effect once staff housing can be offered.
Start date: as soon as possible or by mutual agreement.
