The Municipality of Qeqertalik, Aasiaat, is seeking a Food Service Assistant to begin work on June 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed, at the Vâva Daycare Center.
The Municipality of Qeqertalik Aasiaat is seeking a skilled food service assistant, preferably with training in the food service industry, for the Vâvà Daycare Center.
Responsibilities:
·Cooking for 36 children and toddlers
·Meal planning
·Cleaning
·Grocery shopping, etc.
Prepare food expense reports for each month and year.
Employment is governed by the current collective bargaining agreement between the Government of Greenland and SIK.
Housing is not provided for this position.
Criminal record and child protection clearance:
This position is subject to the law requiring criminal and child protection background checks. Under the law, employment cannot begin until the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child protection background checks. We must therefore note that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received a child protection certificate from the National Police and a criminal record check from the Police.
The Child Protection Certificate is obtained by the municipality with the individual’s consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
