The Retirement and Nursing Home is seeking an office assistant or senior assistant who is passionate about administrative work, to start on June 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.
“DIKP” stands for the Integrated Municipal Care System, which encompasses both the retirement and nursing home and home care services.
The retirement and nursing home is responsible for providing care to 30 residents across two separate buildings—the Tower and the Dementia Unit—as well as home care clients in the town.
Seeking 1 Senior Assistant
- Has experience in the field and a high level of professionalism, and is passionate about working with elderly residents.
- Can work independently, efficiently, and quickly; is adaptable; and has a positive, cheerful, and motivating attitude.
- Is a good colleague and takes shared responsibility for the overall task.
- Is reliable and trustworthy and excels at effective, cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Has experience in human resources, bookkeeping, and invoicing.
- Can manage the financial aspects related to the residents' spending money.
- Welcome new employees – show them around, order work clothes, hand out name tags and keys, and update the phone directory
- Order office supplies, renew temporary staff codes
- Submit low wages for hourly and monthly employees to the payroll office
Requirements
- Has a knack for IT, updating websites, intranets, ERP systems, information screens, and other information portals.

Salary and Employment Terms
Salary and terms of employment are governed by the collective agreement in effect at the time of hire between Naalakkersuisut and the authorized bargaining organization.
Criminal Record
This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal background check. Under this law, employment cannot begin until the municipality has received a criminal background check. We must therefore point out that the start date cannot be agreed upon until the municipality has received the criminal background check from the police.
No one will be eligible for staff housing.
