After serving in an interim capacity since August, Casper Villadsen has been appointed CFO of Royal Greenland. He will lead the finance department and continue the work of turning around the company’s financial performance.
Royal Greenland has appointed Casper Villadsen as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He previously served as Deputy CFO and has been acting CFO since August.
With this appointment, he will also become a member of the company’s Executive Management Team (EMT).
According to Royal Greenland, the decision is based on his performance as acting CFO, his previous work at the company, and an assessment conducted by an external firm.
“Casper has done a great job as Deputy CFO and, since August, has shown that he can also handle the responsibilities of the CFO,” says CEO Toke Binzer.
He also highlights Casper Villadsen’s knowledge of the business and his ability to bring people together.
Must Continue the Economic Recovery
As Chief Financial Officer, Casper Villadsen will have overall responsibility for Royal Greenland’s finance department.
A key task will be to continue the company’s financial recovery with a focus on cost efficiency and improved financial results. At the same time, he will strengthen collaboration within the finance function across markets and business areas.
Although Casper Villadsen is joining the Group Executive Board, the company’s legal executive board continues to consist of CEO Toke Binzer and Group Executive Vice President of HR and Communications Bodil Marie Damgaard.
