In August, the Nanortalik Family Center participated in the Leif the Happy Marathon with three young people, all of whom achieved excellent results and won medals.
On Saturday, August 22, three young people from the Nanortalik Family Center participated in the Leif the Happy Marathon, where they ran the 10-kilometer course.
– The Family Center participated in Leif the Happy’s Marathon to encourage the children to continue exercising and as part of its preventive efforts. All three participants won medals. They had a really great experience and got a lot out of the trip. That’s why we plan to participate again next year, says Gudrun Josvassen Steenholdt, a child and youth counselor at the Family Center in Nanortalik.
Disko Line sponsored transportation for the young participants, while Brugsen provided a discount on the purchase of provisions.
Participants:
Joshua Kleist finished first among the men in the 10-kilometer race.
Milla Eugenius finished second among the women in the 10-kilometer race.
Rosine Knudsen finished third in the women’s 10-kilometer race.
The Municipality of Kujalleq extends its warmest congratulations to the participants on their outstanding results.
